Getting to grips with what you have to do and in what order to pass your driving test

So you have decided that this driving thing is something that you really want to do ..great

I hear you and assuming you have found a driving instructor near you, who is relatable and you are making progress. You might now want to have a goal to aim for to plan ahead ? or you might even be nearing test standard .

Then it  just might be time to be thinking  of what to do next, to start this process to obtain your  full UK Driving License.

The very first place to start

The dreaded theory test!  well I suppose I would say that, but in all honesty you only know - what you only know right. information is power, and in this case the key that unlocks the door to the practical driving test.

so where do you look .. how much do I study and most importantly what does it cost.

all valid questions and as an ADI these would be my answers.

Firstly, alot of people think that they cannot take driving lessons until they have taken thier theory test, this is wrong a misconception; and to be fair understanding the road markings and signs that you come across whilst driving is an easy in, to relating to the highway code and real life driving in your local area. However if you feel that you need to pass your theory test first then thats ok because everyone is different.

The Big one! where do I look to get the material to study for the theory test.. well there are plenty of third party sites that promote downloads and material for study usually at inflated prices and if that what suits you fine.

There is in my opinion only one place to look. The DVSA  are the ones who set the practical driving test  and they also provide an app. which can be downloaded to whatever device you prefer. now lets say the hot topic of the month is towing caravans on the motorway if these questions are in the app they usually appear in the theory test  itself. Think smart I say..
